Activities on the island

Sv. Mihovil. In the neighbouring bay of Sv. Mihovil, 300 metres from Lučica, is a night club and a cafe. Beach volleyball is played here and it's the main hangout place for the young. Every year in Sv. Mihovil bay there are concerts, mostly at the end of July and the beginning of August when there is the traditional Jazz Festival, which has been held for eight years in a row. In recent years the Jazz Festival has been honored with performances by top rock names such as Urban, Gego, Hladno Pivo, Let 3...

Peace. However, if the disco and the concerts in the nearby bay are too much... on the other side of the hill you will be completely free of noise and disturbances.

Excursions to the Nature Park of the Lastovo archipelago, especially the beautiful island of Saplun, are the best summer attraction. Don't miss the trip to a faraway but very impressive island of Palagruža. Tickets for day trips and fish picnics can be bought at the tourist office in the town.

Diving, scooters and bicycles. It is also possible to rent scooters and bicycles for touring the island, and there are also diving schools.

Restaurants.
There are some restaurants that serve first class fish and very popular lobsters (fish stews and salads). Here are a few: Bačvara, Amfora, Porto Rosso, Triton, Augusta Insula, Pece, Malo Lago and Franky.

Historical treasures. Well worth a visit are the remains of a Roman settlement in Ubli bay, as well as the Late Mediaeval churches of St. Martin, Sv. Antun (St. Anthony), Sv. Vlah (St. Blaise) and the Lastovo cemetery. Especially valuable is the Parish Church of Sv. Kuzma and Damjan (St. Cosmas and Damian) dating back to 1473, which was extended in the 16th and 17th century.

Traditional music. During the summer there are frequent classical music concerts, and every weekend performances by the traditional folk group attracts tourists with their traditional Lastovo melodies and displays from the famous Lastovo Carnival.
